I was thinking of "doing the dragon" on the way back from picking up my car but it would have made the drive home a lot longer. I'm in for giving it a go with the group if we want to plan it. Sounds like fun!

I would be up for a going.

Just got back from there with my WRX about a month ago or so. Did the 11 miles in just about 13 mins. I was hustling, tires were squealing and I kept the car close to redline for the majority of the time as I was staying in 2nd for a majority of the run with a few shifts to 3rd (only to go right back down to 2nd). The WRX handled it like a champ and I have been thinking about going back in September with the Camaro to see it closer to fall. Now with the CTS-V brake swap and the FE4 conversion, it should be fun. I would be down for a Camaro trip there if I am still in Tallahassee then.

Alrighty folks. I drove the route and checked the spots on Sunday. The official all points meet-up spot is the Dollar General at 176 US Hwy 98, Eastpoint, FL and that's at 11am eastern time. There should be plenty of parking, though possibly not all in a row. Alternate options exist across the street if needed. This is just the spot to group up before heading over the bridge.

Once over the bridge, we will head east along Gulf Beach Dr. up to the state park. Parking is $6 per car or $4 if only one person. Once in the park, we will cruise up to the first of two general parking locations. If it is full, we can scout and try the second one which is further up the beach but otherwise identical. If conditions are good, we should be able to stage for a group photo. There's not a lot to do here otherwise but we can hang out for a few minutes, chit-chat, take a walk to the beach, etc.

Lastly, we pack up and head back west along Gulf Beach Dr. and pass the road we came in on to arrive at the Blue Parrot Café (68 W Gorrie Dr, Saint George Island, FL). Parking here can be tricky and it is unlikely we will all be together, though it is possible. Warning, you may end up parking in sand and/or on crushed shells. Also, note that this is a seafood place on the beach so budget accordingly.

That should about cover it. There's also a decent chance of rain in the forecast but that's pretty much every day around this time of year. If it looks bad and people want to bail, I understand. We can always reschedule.

So let's start on the west end and see what type of Camarovan whe need to coordinate. We can have a few meeting places along the way and have a major meets at ValP or on east side of PC. Let's see who is going from the west side. I will most likely come down hey 85 to ValP or down Hwy 77 from the interstate to hwy 20. Any suggestions?

You set the time and where and I'll be there. Regina is cutting kind of short if they want to meet in PC.

That's the plan.

It'll be about an hour and a half drive to Eastpoint so we should leave by 9:30a.

Rain is still on the forecast, favoring the morning over there, but expect the possibility of precipitation. I have no reason to believe next weekend would fare any better but that's about the only other option I have.
