When you got yours, it was probably still under the "employee pricing for all" deal (and that was legit EP.....not a sales gimmick). EP (aka GMS, or GM stockholder) pricing can make for a fantastic lease deal. I got one of mine under that program (and two others under GM Supplier, which is not as good of a discount) but still makes for a very compelling lease. |

Some of the big words confused me but I think I understand just fine. Sounds like you dont understand what the launch controls or line locks do in a drag race.

Unless you are running slicks, a stall, and a tuned TCM, your line lock and launch control provide a slower ET than if you were to just floor it from idle/near idle. This topic has previously been discussed at length, feel free to read up AND comprehend.

The LT1 is awesome but for the difference in price you get ALOT more with the SS.

Agreed! but after owning both (a 2SS and an LT1) the only 2 things I miss are the Heated seat and steering wheel on a cold day and the HUD showing GPS turns on the windshield. And in some ways I like the simpler old school gauges and display in the LT1. The SS dash looks cooler but is more complicated. I used to like road tracking as a novice but after losing a Camaro and almost a friend at Millville my track days except as a fan are over.

When GM first announced the LT1, I was stoked because I wanted the V8 after owning 2 V6 Camaros. Building on chevy.com though, with everything I wanted, I ended up in SS territory so I pulled the trigger on a lightly used 2SS from Carvana. This was around the start of the chip shortage and no dealers here in NY had any Camaro's available (some still dont).
Best of luck with whatever trim you go with, both are awesome cars!
