Tire sizes on your 5th Gen?

My SS has 245-45-20 all the way around, but its time for new rears and every thing I'm getting from researching is 275-40-20 on the backs? Anybody else have the 245's on the back and is it a different rim to put the 275's on? Thanks

Yea it should be 275's on the back, if you're the second owner then the first probably cheaped out on tires

I've got 20X9's on all 4 corners running 275/40/20 on all 4 corners. I love the look up front

Mine are staggered 245 front and 275 rear I am assuming they are stock Pirelli P Zero's because when I purchased the car it had less than 6,000 miles on it. My factory wheels are staggered as well, the rears are an inch or two wider than the front.

Factory wheels are 275's on a 9" wheel in the rear and 245's on a 8" wheel in the front. Not sure about the factory offsets off the top of my head but if someone put 8" wheels on the rear then running 275's while possible, may not be the smartest choice. If they're the 9" wheels you can run 275's like should have been on it.

So I just checked the rim size and the original owner actually had 245 on 9" on the front and 245 on 8" in the rear. Guess I need to do some switching around

Perhaps he 'rotated' the wheels/tires without realizing they were different width rims ??

Buy yourself some 275's for the rear.

Can't wait to order the FR Z28 wheels. Once I do, it'll be 275 up front and 315 on the back

That sounds killer. What will that cost you?

The Z28 reps on here from FR I think are like $925 shipped. Then factor in the cost for new MPSS we're probably sitting at close to $2400 Not to mention, I want to upgrade to slotted and drilled rotors while I'm at it to give it the nice and clean look. So probably $2600 not including mounting cost. Which is why it will probably be next year before that happens. Have a few other things on the priority list before that.

Sounds sweet GS. I'm doing power adders before looks. I'm thinking 3200 stall next.

I'm in the same boat, just dropped the car off and is having a cam installed as we speak. Otherwise the wheels would probably be next
