NAME MY C7 CONTEST

Today, Chevy called my dealer for the name I wanted on my personalized plaque - I figured it would be my name, but I suppose it could be something different - Any suggestions? (sarcasm permitted)

NOW, NOW, SARCASIM OK, NASTINESS, NOT OK. WE ALL PAY WHAT WE ARE WILLING TO PAY, AND THAT IS OK. I WAS NOT WILLING TO PAY MSRP, I DIDN'T, AS I FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET BELOW MSRP, AND THAT WORKED OUT FOR ME. OTHERS WERE WILLING TO PAY MSRP AND ABOVE, THEY DID, AND THAT IS OK FOR THEM - THAT SIMPLE. I THINK OTHERS COULD HAVE DONE WHAT I DID, I INCOURAGED THAT, AND I AM SURE SOME DID. OTHERS DID NOT, I WISHED THEY DID AS I, I TRIED TO SHOW THEM HOW, BUT IN THE END WE ALL DO WHAT WE ARE COMFORTABLE DOING, AND IT IS ALL OK. REGARDLESS OF WHAT WE PAID, WE ALL KEPT OUR EYES ON THE PRISE - THE C7. IN THE END, THAT IS WHAT MATTERS, AND CHEVY PRICE INCREASES SOMEWHAT MUTE PAST PURCHASING INEQUALITIES AS THOSE WHO PURCHASED FROM THE BEGINNING AT MSRP SHALL PAY LESS THAN THOSE WHO BUY A C7 NOW EVEN AT $1,000 BELOW THE CURRENT MSRP. YES, IT IS ALL OK, ESPECIALLY FOR GM AND DEALERS. ANYONE KNOW HOW MANY BILLIONS GM AND DEALERS HAVE MADE THIS FAR AT MSRP AND ABOVE? MAYBE ENOUGH TO COVER THE RECALS.

The personalized plaque reads "This 2014 Stingray was specially built in Bowling Green, KY for....." Then the VIN is below that.

Why wouldn't you want your name there?

I put both mine and my wife's names on it. We're inseparable and she's my best friend so it just made sense.

Plus after 3 Monte Carlo SS's, 4 Camaros, and 2 4x4's in 13 years of marriage, I'd say she supports my car habit pretty well and earned the right to have her name on it.

"The Elusive One" seems somehow fitting, knowing how long you've been waiting.
