Perfect, road work.
So I was greeted by some roadwork on my way to work this morning. Apparently my city hasn't gotten with the times. Seems like I bounce from one repair shop to another.
Discount Tire damaged all 4 wheels in Feb, March marks the month of City of Tucson. Joy. |

Is that just dirt or road paint? Surely not chips in the paint?

I feel your pain lol The only way to correct this problem is stop using the Trofeos in the street. I bought a second set of rims and tires for the street and now only use the Trofeos for the track. I put Bridgestones on my car and its not perfect but its at least 90 percent better along with the ZL1-Addons wider front mud flaps.

I am actually running MPSS 305/325, and that is the ZL1 addon front mud flag covered in paint. Dealer quoted $840.29
The white marks you see are in fact road paint. :-( |

How clean/waxed was it before you went past the roadworks?
If the paintwork was protected with wax, you might find the road paint didn't stick very well and a decent clay-bar detail session might remove it all? |

Ugh, my wife came home a few years back in her brand new black Audi S4 that looked almost identical. A whole weekend and lots of elbow grease and I got it off. Good luck!

Clay bar will get it off the paint. Use WD40 on the plastic. Paint will clean up fairly quick, the plastic is another story.

be happy it isn't chips. Mine was almost that bad but it was all chips. Spent hours touching up, sanding and buffing to repaid before the clear bra went on.

Not to high jack this thread, but do you have some better pics of your car with MPSS in 325 of the rear? I'm trying to decide on what i want to do with tires. I want to try the new Michelin Sport p4's which are replacing the dated MPSS.

Tar is WAY worse... be happy it's not tar. I'd take rock chips over tar any day.
