ls7 camaro vs blown 5.0
I'm nearly finished with my build and it consists of a ls7 long block with PRC 285 heads a 11.45 SCR a 24x/25x 6xx/6xx cam full boltons and 1le gears. My friend has a 2013 5.0 with a TVs s/c on 7psi and full Bolton's both of these cars will be running street tires for the first time to the drag strip just for shits and laughs and second encounter will be on drag radials. Who do you guys think will take the W.

Whoever launches closer to idle lol. Unless you guys are running 33X+ rear tires, neither of you are going to get traction in first for the life of you.

Probably not without some, "convincing," but that's what you would need in any normal street tire. Get some super sticky tires in the widest tread you can fit. Otherwise that car is going to be horrifying at anything under 60mph. You are talking 2013 gt500 #s with shorter gearing. It will be burnout city for both of you.

Kinda hard to say but if traction is good you might take the win. You both might be in the same power level but keep in mind stangs are light.

In this weather, cool and breezy with low humidity, I'd give the win to the Mustang on account of the fact that it is forced induction. Plus, if he has a more aggressive race tune, then he will definitely have an advantage. Forced induction will respond more drastically to cooler weather and mods including tuning. So even if you have an aggressive race tune to use, his will probably make more of a difference. You have more hp and tq but he has a lighter vehicle (yes we all know this). And if I'm seeing things correctly, you said his best time is a 10.9 on DRs and mid to low 11s on streets while yours is a 12.4 with your current set-up. Is your new set-up gonna give you a 1-1.5 second drop in the quarter? Is it possible that he can safely pulley down or add some other induction or exhaust mod to get a bit more out of his set-up?
