X2 Good on you.

I understand easily missing the point if not familiar with the military term "tuition assistance"

I wondered if you missed something. Growing up in a military family, I was just about ready to blast you and probably get banned. Glad the mods got to it first.

Yeah cutting education benefits for the military, that are actually tax dollars well spent, is just dumb.

Way to step up OP!

Nice to apologize. I had high hopes you didn't understand the situation.

I used T.A. while I was working on my B.S. This allowed me to get most of my degree classes done while still on Active Duty without having to use my G.I. Bill. After I Retired I used my G.I. Bill to earn my Teaching Credential and Masters Degree. This is/was a very GOOD Program for Active Duty Personel.

As we legitimately lament the (hopefully temporary) loss of the tuition assistance program, I do hope that we ramp up the awareness and utilization of what still remains (e.g., CLEP/DANTES, MGIB, in-state rates for certain states, etc.)
