It all depends on who you are trying to impress. Me, I only gotta impress me but when I park my lowly v6 between 2 ZL1s and everyone's drooling over my car... even I'm impressed with what I've done to make it my own.
So what if some guys got the big wallets and big motors, I got the good looks and my car goes just every bit as fast as I need it to go. I love a big loud V8 Chevy, it turns my head every time. I just don't need one.

I could have gotten an SS, just chose not to. At this point in my life I really don't need all that power. I've been through all the modding and test and tune days with my 4th gen. I'll leave that for the rest of you. As for going with a 1LS, I love the heritage wheels!!!

The V6 is a great car for the money and over 300 hp. Just think that is more hp than older camaros with V8. I would not worry what other people think as long as you like your car. Just remember someone will always have more hp than you have.

I'd be proud to have a 323 hp V6 in my Monte Carlo SS.
Those horsepower numbers were unheard of back in 1986. If you think of it from that perspective, owners of any Gen 5 camaro are extremely fortunate. Yes, my 180 hp 305 was also installed in a 1985 Z28. |

Well said. My new V6 Camaro would smoke my 92Z28. The V6's have really came a long way. My very first car was a 1987 Sport Coupe Camaro with the 2.8 liter. It had a whopping 135hp.

Jay Leno got V6. I think he is getting 400 hp out of it. Most none Camaro owners can't tell what motor you have.

I like my V6, it is plenty fast to get me into trouble! I have a 4x4 truck and its a V8 with the same HP.
