The "slitty" grill on the refresh equates to asian flair queues. Probably attempting to smooth the transition to 2015 new design coming your way. Along the lines of the new Vette. With regards to the V8 questions: it has been speculated that v8's will be used ONLY in Vettes and Trucks in the future. So will a V8 even be available in G6 Camaro? CAFE rules etc. We shall see. Yes, it would be a shame to lose the V8 in Camaro in years to come. If you have an oppty to get a Z28 in a Gen 5 (limited run)... it's likely to be a good one (LS7) but rare as a COPO.

The C6 Camaro will be a "looker"... maybe leaning left of "muscle" and more towards Euro. Sure it will be great for those (of us?) in the 25-50 bracket. Old Schoolers are likely to have to attenuate their desire for the retro muscle recapture....if not a few personal pounds to fit. LOL. I am not sure a ZL1 will continue into C6 era. There was a time I'd have speculated that the ZL1 would not endure into Gen 6. The current plethora of Gen5 Varieties, however, renders its survival chances higher. But if GM limits V8's to Vettes.... the most a Camaro might see is a TTV6. Just conjecture. Sorry to ramble ... one too many martini's tonight. Hope for the best package ever!

C6 Z06 Production

2006 - 6272
2007 - 8159
2008 - 7731
2009 - 3461
2010 - 518
2011 - 904
2012 - 478
2013 - 3,000?? - no "official numbers", yet, but 2550 427 converts (including the last C6 made) would "suggest" about 3,000

Wixom's build capacity was arguably about 10,000 units in TOTAL (LS7/LS9/dry LS3), but please note two things:
1) The flexible nature of Wixom allowed for any number of permutations 'n combinations, and workstations could be added/subtracted.
2) The Wixom Performance Build Center has been moved to Bowling Green...and I haven't seen it...so it's anyone's guess as to what, and how many, will be assembled, there.

The "burning" question is: How many LS7s were stockpiled BEFORE Wixom PBC moved on...and I hope after Wednesday that I don't have to buy any oinment to ward off a persistent and unrequited itch...

Good morning, y'all!

I spent yesterday at Toronto's MegaSpeed Rod and Custom show. Usual plethora of Camaros, including our friend Hiney's "Transformer" Gen-5 version in a special movie-TV car section. Quality up, but overall numbers down. Sign of the times? Met Trepanier (again) and Poteet (again) and Goldberg (again) and several other builders of note. Gearhead Heaven...but NOT quite to Detroit Autorama standards...

HA HA I had looked up the vette numbers too to get an idea of how many LS7s were being built in a year.
