Wife threw away key-fob GM recall letter, how do I get a new one?

So, yeah.... the wife thought it was junk mail and threw it away. I don't think I am changing out the key-fob anyway, I like the original one better. I would have at least liked to have read the letter and keep it for documentation.

Does anyone know how I get a new one?

You don't really need a new one. Dealership should be able to do the work based of your VIN. I would just call the dealership and tell them you need to make an appointment for it, but you lost the letter.

If your register for that my GM garage website, it should also list the recall.

It doesn't really state much. If you do not want to have it done, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Don't do the recall and you'll get another one soon enough.

Putting your VIN into GMs recall website will also tell you whether or not your car has current recalls on it, and will give you detailed info on the recall

not only did I get the one in the mail, I also got an EMAIL version......but I threw both away, I love my switchblade key and have no intention of getting new keys.

I took care of my recall before I even got a letter. I just went in and signed the waiver.
If you don't do either the waiver or the recall you will keep getting notices.

not sure why ya need the letter if you're not doing the recall... even if you were you wouldn't need it.

Looks just like any other recall letter, nothing special.

You got that right!...

Used to be that Toyota was recall king but GM took the top spot this year
