Suggestion for the Mods!

Thanks for the compliments.

The only problem with the idea, is that we can stop people from posting. and as the thread gets longer new members won't know the rules and so on... Interesting idea... Maybe we can come up with a compromise....

How about the new owners e-mail that info & a pic to a moderator and the mod can enter it into a locked thread?
That way, nobody can post in there and muck up the thread.

Or maybe we just go ahead and post away on an open thread... then paste the ones that meet criteria into a locked Sticky Thread.

Just a thought if it's not too much work for the already overworked mods...

I think a locked thread that only mods can post in would be the best bet. I know its more work for them, but its the only way to keep the thread from becoming pages and pages long.

How about we try and figure out a way to use the Garage Tool? Maybe we can set up a special section where you can upload pics in a "new camaro" garage...

Not to sound unwilling to help, but we are pretty busy when we get on here. So, the idea of posting on behalf of everyone is just as work intensive as deleting the Non delivery posts...

I think this could work. Since a Camaro5 member is already currently at the dealership signing papers and taking delivery of his car, I'll create a sticky thread in the General Discussions forum. Owners as they take delivery can feel free to add to the thread with their delivery and car info. As there'll undoubtedly be off-topic posts in the thread, I (or another mod) will periodically comb through the thread and delete any non-delivery info threads.

I think out of all the less than optimal options, this is the easiest way for us admins and mods. Apologies in advance for deleting your off-topic posts in the thread
