2019 Mustang Bullitt revealed at North American International Auto Show

Gotta say..even for just an appearance package, it's a bit underwhelming. Also with the LCD screen being a requirement..I'm betting the 2019 Bullitt will be at *least* $45,000..probably 45,995.

It’s not just an appearance package. It gets bumped to 475 hp and 420 ft lbs of torque.

...and it's fast in the parking garage.
Love how they placed the yellow Mustang all over the place in this video.

Well they say it's "at least" 475/420. They're adding the GT350 intake manifold, throttle body and intake with a tune.

I'm betting 485/430 TQ will be the final number.

News from 2018 North American International Auto Show

Just got home from my 1st day at Cobo. I couldn't get into the Ford press conference but spoke with a friend who was able to get in.

2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt
https://jalopnik.com/the-2018-ford-m...erf-1822071979
Not only did Ford re-introduce the Bullitt special edition, they found the original car Steve McQueen drove and had his grand-daughter come on stage and crank it up.

According to Ford, the Bullitt will have more hp than the Mustang GT. They are not saying how much more.

Mach 1
Ford is also bringing back the Mach 1, but it is not clear if it will be a Mustang. All they did was flash the Mach 1 logo. What Ford did say is
  • It will be a battery electric vehicle
  • Last year Ford said that they would introduce a hybrid powered Mustang "with the power of a V8" which I took to mean it would not be a V8, but that the electric motor of the hybrid system would boost the hp up to V8 levels. At first when I heard "Mach 1", I thought this might be that hybrid Mustang.
  • Apparently someone spoke with Raj Nair after the intro and was told that the Mach 1 would be on a unique chassis, not the current Mustang chassis
  • Another person told me he overheard someone say it would be an all-electric crossover utility. That is bound to piss off the Mustang faithful, if it is true.

I'll add to this thread over the next several days as I get information from other press conferences that affect Camaro and competitors.

FWIW - Ford also introduced the new Ranger mid-sized truck. So far just one powertrain....2.3T and 10AT. They also, just before they flashed the Mach 1 nameplate on the screen, confirmed that they will introduce an F-150 Hybrid.

If Ford uses that name plate on a Vehicle other than a Mustang then there are chemicals leaking into the water in Dearborn also.

Looks like it's happening. I've heard it from two people who got into the press conference and who do not know each other. Also, Jalopnik is reporting something similar and quoting a tweet from a Ford PR guy.

Even worse is Mach 1 will be an SUV according to some articles now.... An electric performance car? Could have gotten some forgiveness, but an SUV?

Yeah there was some tweet from Ford about a performance hybrid suv. And about the chemicals in the water joke, were you referencing Flint Michigan or Alex Jones? Flint Michigan makes more sense but Mustang enthusiasts are going to react like Alex Jones.
