Next evolution for the Camaro...double pivot UCA?

When the 5th gen Camaro came out, it adopted a double pivot front lower suspension design for improving scrub radius and unsprung weight reduction.

The 6th gen continues with this design approach but uses lighter aluminum and composite components for even greater unsprung weight reduction.

Now, it seems that the premium luxury brands, like Audi, have adopted a dual pivot upper control arm as well. Instead of using one UCA on the spindle, or a spring strut assembly like on the Camaro, two separate upper control arms are utilized with two individual ball joints.

I'm sure having dual pivot points on either end of the king pin spindle is superior for ride and handling.

Is there or would there be any consideration for adopting this suspension design on the next gen Camaro?

My guess is that adding this complexity is better justified once you add propulsion to what the front suspension needs to cope with.

To me, it sounds like Buick's "HiPer Strut" or Ford's "RevoKnuckle" taken one step further. It should be a good bit lighter than either of those, but which would need a bigger revision to front end structure since the magnitudes of the loads would likely increase and be applied at different upper points. Different points being something to keep in mind when there's presumably still going to be a 90° V8 sitting directly between the right and left side upper pairs.

Are AWD Corvettes & Camaros likely? Or even desirable?.

Based on the performance of the ZLE at the Ring, is an additional upper arm worth the additional cost?

Using a virtual pivot LCA already lets you dictate your caster curve, scrub radius, and trail with a mac strut. The only significant advantage of going to an upper virtual pivot would be to have an optimized camber curve. The added cost and packaging constraints wouldn't be trivial.
