I would hate to have to tune mine out so this issues could go away or get better. Throwing out the warranty for something that could potentially be fixed by GM would suck.

Interested in this one as well, as it could well affect a future purchase decision.

Guys, what exactly is happening? Is it like a physical dead band in the pedal where nothing happens no matter how long you wait or is it more like a time delay that's more noticeable when you open the throttle rapidly from any amount of light throttle once you're already moving?

I think the consensus for the most part is that it would have only changed a small amount of people's mind in their purchase decision. And in those cases a percentage of those would have still got a ZL1, but maybe an auto.

There's a ton to read on this topic. Ultimately it seems like the car is pulling timing during launches and so instead of taking of instantly like a bat out of hell, the car nose-dives for a moment while it regains it's composure for a split-second -this ultimately prevents anything quicker than a 1.7 60'.

Most discussion is here: http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=498180

Thanks for the support.

Is this something you/GM believes isn't yet right?

Will there be a "fix"?

Is this for warranty purposes or is there more to it?

Had this gone unnoticed until now?

HELP?
+1 ESPECIALLY WHEN GM ANNOUNCED AT SEMA THEY'RE SUPPORTING THE GEN6 DRAG STRIP PERFORMANCE PROGRAM....??????

They knew of the Car's limitations and performance way before release and still released it. All those laps at the Proving Grounds told them so.

NOW PLEASE FIX IT AND RETROFIT ALL THE CARS.

That leaves a bad taste, as the ZL1 1LE was touted to be the Extreme Track Package yet the Car's De-Tuned???? This would never fly during the 1969 COPO Program. This also doesn't sound like "Extreme" to me.

FYI, 99.99% of engines on the market are "de-tuned" from what they are capable of...for countless reasons.

All they need to do is add an additional Track Mode to the existing programming, (i.e. Drag Mode) and fix the M6 Launch Issue in the existing Track Mode(s).

For a Daily Driver yes, but I'd bet they wouldn't de-tune the GT4-R, ( Btw, it also has a real track Trans/Rear Axle Combo).

Track Cars shouldn't be de-tuned, (i.e. ZL1 1LE)

I'd gladly give up the Gm Warranty if they wouldn't de-tune the Car.
