Kevin Durant goes to Golden State Warriors

I'm really a Lakers fan, first & foremost. However, I live in Seattle and loved the Supersonics as well (except when they played L.A.).

So Durant leaving OKC gives me a warm feeling in my heart to see Clay Bennett lose his star player. He's one of the few business people in the world who I wish implodes into financial doom and is seen living on the street somewhere soon.

It'll be interesting to see how Curry & Durant mesh.

I expect a lot of sports journalist go all "they will be dominate next year". And could, but so many times when you see a couple of top players on one team, a major injury hits one of them. Then it's all about "next season when he's back and healthy, they will make another run". Seems like this happens over and over again, in many different sports teams.

Cavs vs Warriors in the finals again.
It will be interesting to see how Durant fits in. It can sometimes create problems when you have too many stars. I don't think the Warriors automatically become Durant's team but he's used to being "the guy".
It definitely doesn't guarantee them the title. As you'll remember when Gary Payton, Karl Malone, Kobe and Shaq all played for the Lakers. And I kind of wanted to see the mailman win one.

Heck, people are now supporting LeBron James more than I've ever seen. You know what he did...he left a team to go to a better one. Both in Miami and when he moved back to Cleveland...he tried to build a superteam around himself. And he didn't win any championships, really (he eventually did, just took a long time). Heck, this last one wouldn't have been a win if the Warriors didn't lose a player to a suspension.

I'll still always be a Lakers fan. I don't mind seeing a west coast team like the Warriors dominate for a while though until the Lakers rebuild now that Kobesupercontract is gone.

It will take GS a year or two to mesh with Durant, just like Cleveland and Lebron did... that's if they mesh.

Why is it weak? LeBron went to another stacked team on his quest to win a championship. Everyone loves LeBron now.

I don't blame Durant. Clay Bennett is a crappy owner who wasn't really running the team well. I don't blame any player for leaving OKC, especially since I don't even think OKC is in the western half of the country. Heck, I expect Westbrook will be leaving as well soon.

Maybe it's because I just like seeing Clay Bennett's team implode...yeah, that's probably it. The Western Conference Finals were awesome when OKC choked the lead in the series. Sonicscurse lives!

It's not the same thing. Durant went to a team that not only was already the team that went 73-9 but also went to the team that beat him. LeBron started a new team in a sense. The Heat were completely revamped when he went there.

The Warriors are Deep! If they play like a Team, they will be unstoppable. So far Durant is playing very well
