TPMS Bypass

I ran the search and can't believe this hasn't come up before. I, like most on here, have two sets of wheels for my Camaro. I'm tired of tire monitors. I had a plan to put all 4 in a PVC pipe, pressurize it and put it in the trunk. Been dragging my feet on doing it just because I would have to get the monitors out of my current stock rims or buy new ones.

Well the time is now. I have had my 2010 since it's birth and one of the TMPS has finally died. So I thought time to do a delete. As I'm messing around on the internet I found a little box, called a TMPS Bypass. I pulled the trigger and ordered it. Seems to easy if it works. Set up is a push of the button a few times and then just throw it in the glove box.

Once I get it I will post pics and a little summary of how good it works or doesn't work.

More to come!

Wouldn’t it be easier to buy some Tpms sensors for the extra wheels and call it a day. I also have two sets, both with tpms sensors.

I just press the button and live with the dash icon.

If you think the Camaro system is screwed try the Pontiac G8 reset

Like I said the icons nots so bad.

Only Camaro 2013-2020 are compatible with this box.(Sales & Customers Support

I think this is the one I ordered. It says 2010 compatible. I guess if it doesn't work I'll send it back. Did it not even register?

This part is compatible with 1 vehicle(s) matching 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS Coupe 2-Door 6.2L 6162CC 376Cu. In. V8 GAS OHV Naturally Aspirated. Compatibilities are defined by the seller for vehicles typically fitted for operation within the original listing country.

Figured to good to be true.....

I did that exact thing but the sensors I bought had a 1.5” black valve stem that just didn’t look good with my new brushed aluminum wheels. So I bought new valve systems and tire shop said I couldn’t attach them to the sensors….so I opted to remove the sensors and deal with button pushing. Seeing this thread I thought would be an awesome fix for my situation since I still own all 4 of the brand new sensors. I’ll see if this works when he gives us updates.

Here’s the extra long blk valves that was on before.

Now here’s the new replacement sorry this pic is not a close up but you all should get the idea. It completed the look now I’m just waiting to see if someone can come up with a fix.

So far so good.... I bought the one linked below from ebay and a battery pack from Walmart. It was super easy to set up, zip-tied together, and put it in the glove box. It shows all 4 tires at 34PSI. The next day it was still good. Drove it again a few days later and still holding. I have just been driving around town, so I figure the real test will be going to Kentucky. Well would NOT recommend. After 10-15 miles the system rest and the tire late came back. I will say it worked for just going around town fine. I’ll be returning for a refund.
