need ideas, cheap present for newlyweds
so my neighbor invited me to his "after-marriage-party" (or something like that) this saturday because he got married a couple weeks ago. i don't hang out too much with him so it's not like we're "best" buddies. but a best buy gift card seems a little too boring lol. anyways, my fridge is empty and i'm about 6 beers short of having a creative thought right now.
any ideas? |

Get them a southwest airlines or Marriott gift card or something to put towards a trip. My mentality on gifts is get me out of my house not working on it! (Home Depot/Lowes Gift card) just my 2 cents

Also One cool gift I got once was had someone come over and do all the spring yard work and plant flowers but that was probably close to $100-150 bucks! dunno if you want to go halfies but that rocked sitting on the porch watching people do my work on a sunday...Very cool!

Since you were not invied to the wedding, I would suggest a simple gift.
A nice $25-30 bottle of Cabrenet or Lodi Zinfindel. It shows class, caring and thanks for the invite without the simplicity or generacity (my word) of a gift card. The sommelier is in...LMK if you need suggestions. 2001, 2004-2006 Trinchero Main Street Cab 2006 Trinchero Meritage 2006 Starry Night 2003 Cenay Bluetooth 2003 Earth Zin and Fire 2006 Cakebread Chardonnay

I would avoid the gift card...Just too impersonal.
The wine is a good idea...you could pair it with a set of glasses? Anything personalized is a great idea...Just a single set of towels in a nuetral color embroirdered with thier initial is a great idea. Look in your yellow pages there are usually small independent shops that do it pretty cheap.. |
