Anvil Spoiler owners?
This is a question for the Anvil Spoiler owners. Did you raise your spoiler off your trunk slightly or mount it as normal. Ive read where some have talked about the ends over the trunk rubbing. Did yours and what did you do to correct it?
To me the end gap would be considered for in making it, so is it possible the rubbing would be from closing the trunk to hard and thats what is rubbing over time? Let me know what you guys have done? Mine comes in today!

Just install as normal, if needed you can adjust the rubber stoppers/bunpers in the trunk to raise the lid ever so slightly.

I would raise it slightly if you can. The passenger side on the spoiler I had rubbed and it's noticeable on the paint...

Installed normal with no issues. The ends came with a foam pad to stick onto the underside of the ends of the spoiler so those touch but nothing else

Its here!
Is it supposed to come with any kind of gasket or double sided tape? How about nuts or just use the stock ones? So the ones that have been installed normal, did you use the pads they sent with it?

I've got a three piece spoiler... I mounted it just like the instructions... no issues... I realize the one piece spoilers hang out and can contact the body sides...
I used one sided 1/8th inch foam tape to pad under it as well... Keeps the spoiler from sitting right on the paint.. and I cut the tape in sections that don't touch so water would not pool in front of the spoiler...

You use the stock nuts, make sure you use some locktite (spelling) and do not over tighten. The is no double sided tape but the should be a thin gasket on it. Sent from my AGM, 2SS/RS |

I had to enlarge the mounting holes so the spoiler so it would sit flush and level. Also provided were some pads of rthe ends.
As along as you get the spoiler flush and use the provided end pads, you shouldnt have rubbing issues. |
