Seeing that you started your response to chase with "On the contrary Chase" it seems YOU may be the one with poor comprehension skills.

Oh geez lets not distract this thread with he said this responses. Great question op and I think both chase and kronix responses answer the question of when it is correct to do this.

The key word was "but", after "On the contrary". I know Chase knows what he's talking about. You obviously couldn't comprehend the OP meant running the CAI without the plexiglass, not the whole lid.

And I'm sure Chase knows I didn't mean it as an "assey" response, as I've probably spent more with him than you ever will.

Keep arguing, the answer is yes it can be taken off with the right hood, the one that I have. Good day Unscubscribed

I know he unsubscribed but I thought I'd point out (as it has to do with reading comprehension) that the OP did refer to the lid being off, and not just the plexi. It was pretty clear. I think that's strike two on the reading comprehension there bud.

What part of this opening sentence tells you that he meant the plexiglass only?

I understand the lid acts as a seal against the engine compartment air but I would like to know if anybody doesn't put it on.
Once you figured out you were DEAD WRONG about your reply to Chase and myself, now you're moving back to the OP's thread where you're DEAD WRONG again? Wow, you're two for two. Keep it up buddy, you're batting a 1000.

Oh, you are one of those people that likes to beat your chest and brag about spending money. Cool, that definitely gives you the right to be an ass hat to someone that said the correct answer and YOU couldn't comprehend it. Get over yourself, no one cares how much money you spend!

Thanks for all the replies. I didn't mean to stir up an argument, just wanted to hear other people's experiences about it.

Wasn't you, just some dufus wanting to show off his engine bay.

Did you get the answer you're looking for? I'd still like to know who has taken theirs off and for what reason.
