One car available for sale: Black 1LT in Miami

Hey all,

Just helping out my local dealer, since I was there today. Unless it sold in the last couple of hours, there's one Black exterior, Black interior, regular wheels 1LT car (basically, a base model) available IN STOCK right now for MSRP as far as I know.

I'm waiting on my custom order to ship, but in case you guys were looking for a quick pickup... the name of the dealership is Tropical.

Ask to talk to Vicki if you're interested.

Oh, and it's a manual transmission. Still has paddle-shifters, too.

What the heck... I'd like to see it if I can juggle around my schedule tomorrow.

This is it... no options whatsoever. Base 1LT:

STINGRAY, you might want to call first. Tropical had a reputation for putting a large "Market Adjustment" on high demand vehicles.

Of course, that's when I say adios!
But I'd still like to see it in flesh... black on black in person, not just in pics.

Not to date myself too much, but years ago Tropical had a 1978 Black and Silver Pace car on the floor. It had a $25,000 sticker with a $20,000 add on. I do not know if their policies have changed but I have never known them to sell high demand vehicles at MSRP. They are also one of two dealers in Florida registered as a Callaway Dealer.

Test drove it around town... fun!

Rev matching was cool... the interior quality is definitely at a high level... and the ride (non-Z51) was still taut. It would be an excellent daily driver with very good power/speed when you get on it. It's quite easy to drive in traffic as well. My favorite is the Tremec trans... shifts so much better (smoother) than my Boss 302 especially with the C7's rev mathcing feature toggled on. I'm even more in with this Stingray... and this was a barebones unit I drove!

Certainly for those who will utilize it to its intent particularly on the track... however it's not a dire necessity especially for those who are interested in using the new Stingray as a leisure car or even a DD. A non-Z51 & MR unit isn't detrimental. I'm sure the Z51 w/ MR elevates it to topshelf level in terms of performance handling & ride but after driving this base Stingray around town and on open roads today, I can honestly attest that it's still sufficient and very much a fine sports car as-is for the majority.

Forgot to add this pic... standard 3" exhaust tips (non-NPP). Still sounds good esp. at WOT!
