ADDING A Z51 SPOILER TO A CONVERTIBLE

I ordered my 2014 Convertible without the Z51 spoiler. It is too late to change my order (at 3400 status). How difficult is it to add the spoiler after the car has been delivered? Has anyone done this? My dealer told me that I have to wait for my VIN # to see if it is possible. Not sure what that has to do with it...

Too late to change your order, by far.

Checking VIN for compatibility is dealer standard operating procedure.

It's to late to change your order, however the spoiler (if optional) is dealer installed. Rear bumper must be removed and mounting holes drilled.
I believe there's thread on here showing the how to do it photos? maybe someone can add the link for you?

I don't think the VIN has anything to do with ordering a spoiler.......

Thanks! Yes, I know it was way too late to change, but thought about afterwards. If the rear bumper has to come off, I'm just not comfortable with that. I may totally re-think this. I knew I should have ordered the spoiler...

It may seem a bit daunting at first, but really it's more time consuming than difficult. I've seen 3 different Stingrays at my local dealer during the spoiler install, at various points. All LPO spoilers are shipped loose for the dealer to install, so in theory they should be familiar with the process. I suggest discussing it with your service manager and Stingray tech for peace of mind. The spoiler can be purchased at the dealer or many vendors online. I feel it's worth the effort for the looks alone!
