had a guy stop and ask me is your car a real ZL1 at first I just looked at him and thought are you being smart as**** but after talking to him he said he has never seen one he ask to take some picks and went on his way first time had every ben ask if the car was real

I've seen a SS model with a ZL1 hood and front end, looks the same until you walk behind or lift the hood.

honestly in my area there just are not any ZL1's so people do kind of look at it strange.

I have seen 3 2013 Gt500's around and Zero other ZL1's.

I have seen 0 imposters either which suprises me.

Same here in the Cape Cod area, haven't seen a ZL1 on the street yet. I'm sure they're out there, the odds will get a lot better with the warmer weather since most ZL1 owners hibernate them for the winter. Hope to see one soon!

I have seen one ZL1 in my area, a yellow vert. I have also seen at least 3 GT500's two of them before I bought my ZL1 in December. No impostors yet!

Guy comes up to my window at the gas station, and says hey did you buy that car and put the badges on it . I said what. He said where did you get the emblems I said GM sold them to me he said oh you can buy those I said yea. But he wanted to see the motor so when I popped the hood he said oh %%^&&(&)()))(*^$$$^^ I said what is wrong he said oh my god its the real thing. I said yes its a zl1 he said he had only seen one on CAR and DRIVER. I thought he was running away but he made his wife get out of the car. And showed her the car she told me he had posters and pictures all over the house of the car and he swerved off the road to catch me at the gas station so he was really excited so I took him down the road for a ride. Very nice guy .That's why we do it the car thing.:

I traded MY2010 SIM 2SS M6 in for MY2012 SIM ZL1 M6 and a couple of days later a neighbor up the street who has a Mustang GT came by and asked me if I got a new hood on my car. I said "No, this a brand new car", he said "Oh, you didn't change the hood ?", I said "No" and then he quietly walked away. To this day I'm not sure if he figured it out and he has never talked to me about it since.
