I don't drive a ZL1 but I'm guilty of the same thing in my modded SS! I don't even use the radio much just so I can hear the sweet sound of the exhaust....music to my ears!

Anyone else with a black or ashen grey have any kids point and yell "Batmobile" at an intersection?[/QUOTE]

Get the "Batmobile" yells a lot. Lots of "Thumbs Up" from Men. But my favorite of all is when I'm driving thru a busy parking lot, say Walmart on the weekend, and all they young ladies see the car coming and for some reason they lift and push out their chest while flipping back their hair and always give this big ear to ear smile... Well, that's until they see its me, a girl, behind the wheel. The smile always disappears, sometimes it even turns into a sort of snarl. Sorry ladies, I guess they were hoping for a cute guy!

The low-end torque makes the car feel effortless in takeoffs from a stop which is something most non-V8 cars lack. Rolling down the windows to hear the exhaust better on acceleration and giving it a little extra gas makes it easy to be the first off the line. Of course, this would put you first in traffic and first in the officer's sight on the side of the road. Heavy LEO enforcement in the city and adjacent one where I live made it hard to enjoy the car's potential even slightly. There's a ot of nice cars where I live, but not many as obnoxious as the ZL1.

Most women will claim that it is a VERY elusive button of which few men will actually find. If you look closely, there's a "Y" junction on the lower part of the frame where the button resides. It requires varying, repeated activations to make it function properly and it definitely responds well to fine wine, dinner, chocolate and expensive jewelry!!!

I'm just saying...
I agree, I love the way the auto blips the throttle when it downshifts through the gears. I love the way the exhaust roars when you take off again.
