now i went to the toronto auto show last week and took a couple pics of the 09 camaro. the one thing i aint liking about the car is the front end, it does not ressemble a 69 at all. everything else is alrite but GM must fix the front end. now for the pics. o btw the 1969 ss is my dads 09 1 69 1 09 2 69 2 09 3 69 3 thats all lol please comment |

I know what you mean, I was not to sure about the front end at first. Now, I love it. I feel that GM should not change a thing… You have to remember that the New Camaro borrowed design characteristics from the 69 and is not a full retro design; although, a lot of people will argue the retro point. The vision of the GM design team was to produce a modern version of the Camaro as if it would have evolved from the first generation Camaro… GM has a big hit on there hands… Give it time, the front will grow on you.
Tell your dad he has a nice ride… Last edited by KILLER74Z28; 02-28-2007 at 08:15 PM. |

Welcome to the site N1tem4r3. Gotta ask what that stands for... Love your dads Camaro!!! As for the front end, I feel just like Killer does. I didn't like the front end either, but it grew on me over time. I thought about numerous different designs they could have gone with, but this just seems to work so well. Give it some time and maybe it'll grow on you too. If not, I'm sure the aftermarket will kill that itch.

I am with TAG and KILLER on this one. I for one did not want a full retro design, and I am very please with what they came up with. It has some obvious cues from the 69, but unlike the Challenger, it is not an updated replica of the '69. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the '69 (Your dad's looks AMAZING by the way!) but if I wanted a car that looked like one I would just go out and restore one.
It seems as though people are in a love it or hate it kind of category with the front end. Honestly, when I saw the front of that car, I immediately started saving my money.... I absolutely love the looks of that front and the rear tail lights. I can honestly say that I would not change a single thing about the exterior of the new Camaro... |

Ya I agree too, I love the front end of the car, it reminds me of the 69 because of the pointed grill and the, well...not perfectly round headlights, but them to. And at night when all the lights are on, damn that thing looks mean. All and your dad does have a nice car.

As for the air intake on the nose... I am not sure what the deal is with it, and I haven't decided if I like it. I seemt o change my mind on a daily basis. I certainly wouldn't mind if it doesn't make production, however from reports, if the only major visual that differentiates the production version and the concept exterior are the door handles, then i would have to say that the nose vent is gonna stay. |
