Glad Bo is ok physically but psychologically this may linger. In this day and age in this type of situation it'd be best to roll up the windows, lock the doors and call 911 immediately. If confronted DRIVE OFF if you can. Better to remove yourself from the situation and inform/explain to LE than getting involved in a shoot-out with some street urchins. Unfortunately this is the society we live in today. Hope Bo is doing well.

I really feel for you Bo. I can't believe the society that we live in today, it's like someone said it's like the wild west all over again. I'm glad your ok though and I'm sorry about your car hopefully it all works out for you.

Sucks to hear this, especially when its someone as respected as Bo. Hope he gets his car back the way it was. Not stripped or crashed.

You don't "cock it" to chamber a round. You rack the slide. You can always drop the magazine and load another cartridge to top the mag back off, then reseat the mag. That said, 4 on 1 is long odds. Not because of capacity restrictions but because of time restrictions. I've worked Homicide & Robbery as a detective or supervisor (currently a LT) for about 7 years. When you engage the first one, if his buddies don't flee you aren't going to win. Compliance is your best option for survival if they are trying to rob you, not a murder attempt. The 'bump and carjack' or the sex crime equivalent of 'bump and rape' are decades old ploys to get a victim stopped while they are isolated. In car camera system, 911 call, and slowly driving to the nearest populated area with your emergency flashers on is best practice for staying safe. |

Wow this just sucks big time!! Bo, I'm glad you are alright, and hope you get your awesome, respected Camaro back intact! And yea, as stated above, our society has gone nuts and back to the wild west, pillage and plunder and take what's not yours. Again sir, glad you are alright!!

Because sometimes the good guys have (and need) guns too. And sometimes they win.

Bingo. I never leave the house without my 1911. 5th Gens have a few decent places to put them if you look hard enough.

In this particular case that would have most likely been a life ending scenario and not worth the car loss. 4 guys with guns that you don't initially know were bad would have surprised him first.

While I don't know what his situation is, nothing good every comes from stopping at 4:00 AM to get gas. Or anything for that matter.
