Looks to be AWD as well. I'm curious.

Supercar style with the personality of a Prius.

Yet, another reason why I purchased a ZL1 last year. Last chance to own a factory supercharged V8 that makes all the right noises. GM is all in on EVs and a new generation of buyers are on the horizon.

Ain't that the truth. How long I hang onto my V8 vehicles will simply depend on what gas prices do long term. Time will tell. Once I'm forced to go EV (if that happens in my lifetime), I'll simply get a crossover appliance.

Looks like RWD mid-engine V8 (probably the 6.2), coupled with an electric motor or two driving the front wheels. Notice how the front wheels start rotating faster than the rear wheels, maybe it's the lag between electric torque and ICE power stroke.

Things definitely will be less special when everything goes electric. What we're losing is character from the powertrain. A BMW I6, a Chevy V8 and a Porsche flat 6 may all make 500hp but the power delivery, sound, refinement, rpm etc will all vary. It makes for a very different experience and why I love trying all types of gas cars.

With electric it's all the same. The ultimate power will vary but the delivery is nearly identical. I have a Model 3 Performance and my fiance has a Mustang Mach E. My car is much faster but the power delivery feels very similar and that has been the case with most EVs I've driven.

I'm not against EVs and I actually think they make better commuter cars than gas cars because of easy/efficient they are to operate but there's a reason I want a gas only sports car for the weekend. That's why I have a ZL1 M6 on order to be my forever car. You can buy a faster EV but you'll never match the involvement.

I do remember people complaining about computers is cars.
As long as it puts out, I don't care how it's powered.

I bought a ZL1 in February 2022, and kept my 2017 Corvette Grand Sport too!

Electric is the wave of the future, but I'm not ready to catch that wave... yet.

Hybrids are best of both worlds I suppose.

Sounds like two awesome cars!

I actually think having an EV and a gas car are the best of both worlds and skipping the hybrid option altogether if possible. In traffic, an EV is awesome and it's so cheap to run with low charging cost and next to no maintenance (just tires, brakes are barely used because of regen).

That way you can keep the EV as your day to day workhorse and your fun gas car for special occasions and weekend blasts. I'm loving the combination so far.

Have you driven an EV yet? Once the instant torque honeymoon wears off, you start longing for something more. They tend to have a one dimensional feel to them. Hopefully GM and others can find a way to make them fun but I have my doubts since vibration, exhaust notes and shifting gears add so much to the experience for enthusiasts.

Yep, I sold my Tesla Model 3 Performance for the ZL1 once the novelty wore off. My wife still has the standard Model 3, which as you mentioned makes for a great daily driver but not something that I look forward to just taking a drive in.
