Serious Question

can adding foglights , footwells , led dome light bulb , led license plate light , and a subwoofer and hids to the headlight and fogs REALLY fry your PCM? seriously?!?

GM/Chevy is trying to blame my PCM fried on the fact that i had those things installed in the car..

I'd have to say its a yes/no kind of answer. While your mods themselves wouldn't have fried your PCM the install for them could have. Not bashing your DIY talent or anything but if you missed a ground somewhere or two wires are crossed/touching it could lead to problems.

I'm curious to know why you're asking. Did the dealer tell you that the warranty was void because of the mods, or something similar?

How was the battery installed? Were the black and red wires crossed?

If they are saying that the battery was installed wrong and that is the source of all of your problems then I would argue the bill is on there dime. Last time I checked the car's battery is installed by the Chevrolet factory, so I guess it's the robots fault? Really we can't blame them though, they are color blind.

Serious note though. Take the mods off and go to a different dealer. They will never know and never think to ask about it.

This battery that was installed wrong, was it installed in the factory location, or is it a secondary battery installed for the mods?

yikes PCM fried, not good. all your grounds were good? Anything live touching ground?

How is your battery installed wrong? if it was obvious that you took it out and reinstalled it wrong i can see why they would deny you.

that sucks man. I would uninstall all aftermarket electronics and take it to another dealership.
