Yearly Registration Fee. How Much In Your Area for v6 or v8

Yearly plate registration for us in Montreal is $255 a year for the cars under 4 liters (v6) and jumps to about $555 a year for the 6.2lL v8.
Just wondering what other people pay and if they have a green emissions tax.

Fee is based on vehicle selling price, $20-$82 for a two year registration. $82 is for vehicles $40,500 and up. $20 is for a vehicle sold at $10,500 or less. Starting at $20, it goes up $2 per $1000.

I think after the initial registration, the renewals cost the same as long as you own it, unless of course, the fee schedule changes.

Florida allows you to pay for two years tags + registration. I paid $285.90 for two cars / two years. Good until 2019. Less hassle. That's two specialty tags not the common design. No other taxes or inspections.

Ct is only $90.00 every 2 years but we do have an annual property tax on
autos based on the value of your car. They get you one way or another.

Its not like that everywhere. In Florida its based on weight of the vehicle.

In Maryland cars with a shipping weight of under 3700 pounds cost $135 for 2 years and cars over 3700 cost $187 for 2 years.

Is that just for plates I thought the fees in Quebec included insurance too? In Ontario I pay $108 per for plates currently.

Registration in Ohio runs a little over $50/yr. There are no additional yearly taxes on vehicles in Ohio but the state makes up for it in many other ways!

NY is based on weight and value. Plus vanity plates are $30 more/yr. You have to reg for 2 years. The ZL1 I just got is about $240 or $120/yr

I got off light this year... $566. That's almost half what it was when I originally bought it.
