CEL and weird rough idle

Hey guys, been a while since i've posted, but something weird happened yesterday and it had me a little concerned.

I had been away on vacation for a week, so the car hadn't ran during that time. The first time I started it up after i got home, everything sounded fine, so i threw it in drive and started down the road. After about 50 feet or so, my CEL flashed on and it felt like the valves/cylinders were out of sync(maybe a misfire? I'm not very technical when it comes to engine internals ). Anyway, when i would hit the gas, the car felt as if ti were jumping or hopping. So i shut the car off, turned it back on, and it has been driving perfectly since.

Is this something I should be concerned about? Or just a side effect of not driving it for a week?

Thanks for the help!

Sounds like the engine was not firing on every cylinder. If the CEL flashed the dealer or mechanic can check to see what code was thrown. If it were me I'd go to autozone and see if they would put their code reader on it. You may have a coil going bad but with the past history of timing chain tensioners issues I'd get it checked. I noticed you have a 2011 so not knowing how many miles it's hard to say what might be the cause.

Thanks for the help! It has a little over 60k miles on it. I was afraid of the timing chain issue, maybe ill swing by the dealer and get it looked at.

I've noticed mine does that in cold weather when I leave it sitting for over a week. Start it up and rough idle and cylinder misfire. After a little driving, it goes back to normal.
