Am I missing something??? he has a LS3, fuse pull is for L99. LS3 is disconnect battery, touch cables together and reconnect. Mine has been dyno tuned for almost four years now and as long as I have used 93, only had to do fuse pull once, for one hour.

The fuse pull works on both LS3 and L99.

The high octane and low octane timing tables only have signifigant differences at wot. Your motor wouldn't self destruct with 87 in it if they were copied, knock retard will still pull a chunk of timing and you'll probably hear it ping. At that point, you will feel the loss of power from the timing pulled and you'll know you have bad gas. Just drive the car and put some good gas through it before beating on it again.

Well then in theory the fuse pull would still be something that should be done even with a JRE tune. Granted if you haven't put low octane fuel in it this whole thing is moot. Put good gas in and don't worry about be fuse pull. In theory that should be somehing that should only have to be done once.

I personally think the fuse pull affects more than the octane tables. Tuned or untuned there is still some sort of adaptive learning things going on in there that affect the way the car runs.
I have to fuse pull my LS3 and reflash my JRE tune to keep it right feeling. I spoke to Jannetty about it and that was the answer I got from him too. So, even with a tune, the tune is getting overwritten here and there or some values are being stored elsewhere and utilized.

All the tune does is adjust your base map so that the trims don't have to work so hard to keep things in line. Your trims shouldn't need to be reset repeatedly. That could be an indication that your tune isn't quite spot on. The tune never gets overwritten by anything but your handheld.

Well I'm currently pulling mine according to the sticky. I just think it's weird that it would take hours for this to take effect.

It has a battery that you have to let deplete that holds up the volatile memory. If it didn't then your trims would reset every time you turned the car off unless they stored them in flash. They wouldn't want to do that because flash wears out after so many write cycles. Gotta let it run down like the BIOS in your computer.

I accidentally put 87 in mine and called my tuner right away and he said add a bottle of octane booster and DO NOT run it WOT. Luckily it was only 10 gallons which didnt take long to run out.
He said no need for a fuse pull after filling back up with 93.

All we had out in Cali was 91. I told Ted to tune it for 91 octane. Now that I'm back east ill probably have him update the tune for 93.
