19 vs 20 inch wheels 11, 11.5 and 12 inch wide

I'm looking at getting some lighter wheels for my car while maintaining an aggressive looking stance. The car is a weekend warrior with no track time planned. Currently sitting at 600whp but I'll be stepping up to 700+ in the coming months.

Right now I'm leaning towards apex vs-5rs 20x10.5 et15 in front and 20x11.5 et42 in the back. I'd like to run a 325 out back with either a 285 or 295 up front.
Is there a benefit to switching to 19s for fitment? Does the smaller wheel allow more width without rubbing?
My main goal is to shave pounds.
From those that have done it, is it worth going wider than the stock 11 wide rears wheels and/or going to 19s?.

lol, I'm right here!! haha... I was looking at some of the APEX wheels for mine a while back because I wanted to run 12 inch wide on the rear with a 335 tire, they were the only company that had a 12 inch wide wheel, but I had to go down to a 19 inch wheel to do it, didn't want to do that because I don't like the looks of the 19's on our Camaros, plus the price of them was out of my budget! So I found what I have now, and absolutely love them! I am a 5-7 spoke guy, so they were calling my name. They are made by a company called Feradda, they make several different designs that fit the bill for me. I love the deep concave look so I went with their FR3 version, machined face with chrome lip. On the front I have 20x10.5 +28 et with a 285/35/20 tire, on the rear I run a 20x11.5 +30 et with a 335/30/20 tire. My Camaro is also lowered 1.25 on Pfadt Racing springs. To this date I have had zero issues with rubbing anywhere. They are not the lightest wheels, but for my "street beast" they are just fine. If you want really light weight wheels, APEX are the folks to contact, as theirs I beleive are the lightest out there, but like I said, expensive! Here are a couple pics of my setup. She gets a ton of compliments. I could have run a 345 tire on the rear, but for 100 bucks more for another 1/2 inch width, nah..

Thanks Bigtime53, I appreciate that! Took me 5 different sets of wheels to come up with what I really was looking for. The only thing that would have made this set better, was if the rears didn't poke out so much, but I like it. The concavity of the wheels is what sold me on them. And believe it or not, NO stone chips or marks on my rear quarters or front rockers!!

Wayne, perfect setup brother!

@OP, I would advise you to avoid the 19's. With a respectable side wall aspect, they are just too short. By the time you close the fender gap from the 19's, car is way to close to the ground for normal driving. I know this from experience with my 19" Apex wheels. Exhaust just doesn't get enough clearance with the 19's and a moderate drop.

That's my opinion. I love my ARC-8 wheels and the look I have aired out, but I wouldn't do it again.

Holy crap! Those are large tires! Looks great though.

No rubbing even over bumps and hard driving?

No sir, none what so ever!! The only thing that ever rubs is my front splitter when I hit a pretty good dip in the road. Tires are all good!!
