As others have said, MRC is worth every penny of its asking price, even if you plan to keep the vehicle long-term (i.e., 10+ years) and have to replace the struts/absorbers at a premium.
Maybe MRC is worth it on a 1LE. I don’t have it on my SS and the ride quality has never bothered me at all no matter the surface. I actually love the stock SS suspension. MRC would have been a total waste of money for me.

My LT1 feels the same way as the OP stated. It's a sports car and I have gotten used to it.

I can't say that the ride or the seats are uncomfortable. I've done many rides for hours at a time and I can't complain.

The gf will complain no matter what. That's what the do lol. Might as well keep her. The RF need to go. I'm waiting for mine to wear out or burn em out.

I just got back from a weekend trip in my 1SS convertible. Spent 3.5-4 hours in it yesterday and about 3 hours today. No issues on comfort for me or my wife!!

Last year I rented a 19 SS with the run flats and I noticed immediately how bad they are, but I loved the car otherwise. Drove 500 + plus on a road trip with my son and we both felt it was a comfortable car.

I still like the car. Getting rid of the RFs will go a long way according to all the feedback here. Should be getting them installed Wednesday.

Standard leather 2SS. They're pretty comfortable as far as seating goes. I'm 210lbs.

And out of curiosity, does anyone know what year the Goodyear Eagle F1 Runflats became standard equipment on the car?

Edit: Nevermind, the TireRack reviews answered my question. People really do hate these

Just a thought, since I really don't find my 2SS all that uncomfortable despite me being older and never having had a sports car:

OP, any chance the blocks used for transporting your car to the dealer were not removed? I don't remember what the proper name for them is, it just seems your experience is so unusual, and maybe this could account for it.

In "tour" with my 1LE it feels as supple and composed as my Cadillac CTS with MRC. Only really noticeable difference is increased noise from the larger tires.

My wife and I went for an all afternoon cruise yesterday - all on back country roads. When we got home we both commented on how comfortable we were in the 2SS vert - run flats and no magnetic ride control.

I guess everything is relative and what one is used to and what one expects from a car. To me the 2020 2SS feels absolutely great for a performance car.

My last car was a BMW and had non-RF. My brain is probably equating sound with harshness so really, once the runflats are gone I’m sure I’ll be happy.
