PVC replacement for catch can
Anyone know where you can pick up a PVC hose for a catch can installation so you do not have to cut into your OEM. Is this something can pick up from autozone (would need part number) or would the dealership have to order it from GM?

Hey, I had done the same thing when I installed catch can on mine. Just get in touch with Maureen over at Rodgers Chevrolet and I am sure she will be able to help you out.

I don't know the exact type/# but I would venture to guess any auto parts store should sell it by the foot or at least packaged in short lengths. NAPA, CarQuest, etc. would be good places to try, probably also your AutoZone, Advance/Discount Auto, O'Reillys, etc. My guess is ordering it from GM would be overkill.

You need to buy it from a dealer so it has the correct ends to attach to the valve cover and manifold.
I bought one and cut off the ends. That way I have the original to go back to stock if I need to. Contact Maureen @ Rodgers.

Part number is 12638437 for the tube and 12616909 is the oring, for the LFX. The LLT tube and connections came with the orings.

Those are the GM parts numbers, so you can search/order them from whoever stocks them (dealers, aftermarket, etc.) by those numbers.

I am going to look into getting the replacement so I can pull the catch can off in the winter months. Getting tired of trying to unscrew a cold can of frozen water once a week to dump. I don't drive it that hard this time of the year so I would like to pull it out for the winter months. After 5 to 7 days of 13 mile, 26 mile round trip the can is just about full of water and a few drop of oil. I could just as well be running it back into the engine this time of the year.

Here's what came out (mind you, this is in a 59 oz juice bottle): There was a LOT of liquid in there. Mostly water, I'm sure, but clearly some other stuff, too, to give it that tan color. It's way lighter in color (which I think means more water) than when I emptied it in October: And that was in a 16 oz water bottle. Definitely need to empty it more often. OK...sorry about the

Anyone know of any hose that can replace the rubber hoses I was supplied with the catchcan, the rubber makes some pretty loud hissing noise.

If you can find out the inside diameter you can just get some high grade rubber hose from Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, or even your favorite auto parts store. Think they sell them in 6 inch or 12 inch increments...
