Interior space - Mustang vs Camaro.

While I don't have any interest in a Mustang, we rented a convertible on vacation (2020 Ecoboost) and it confirmed what I had read about handling and build quality, but I did find myself thinking, I can live with this size with two forward facing car seats in a pinch. All 4 of us fit ok and when they get bigger the car seat goes away.

Is the Camaro smaller? Specs seem to indicate it's only .7" smaller IIRC.

Having owned both, and a C7, the seating position in the GT feels "higher", and the cabin "feels" bigger because your sitting up into it more... but I don't think there is realistically, or even quantifiably, 'more room'.

I currently own a 22 ZL1 and 20 Shelby GT500.

The Ford has far more headroom for certain (I'm 6'3", 195), and in the front seats, it certainly seems like it's more roomy. Feels like a bigger car from the driver's seat, and you do sit up higher than in the Camaro.

The Mustang has one advantage the Camaro doesn’t have. With a rear seat passenger I generally move my seat forward to maximize room. In a Camaro, my knees hit the dash and I can’t give the rear seat passenger as much room as I can with a Mustang. This doesn’t show up in he published rear seat or front seat leg room measurements.

the interior stats look the same, and when i look inside a mustang the front seat is against the back seat like the Camaro

The Mustang has a teardrop shaped roof vs the Camaro's slammed roof, so it probably has a bit more headroom unless you push the seat all the way down in the Camaro. Sitting higher automatically gives you the perception of better visibility.
