DO NOT BUY RACESTAR 17 rim.

Unless you do the V6 conversion they won't fit STILL and you need to grind your calipers to make it clear, they aren't made properly and for just off center. Terrible quality, their customer service blame the wheel machinist. They won't clear SS rear/front backs due to "caliper being inconstant sizes. I've tried 4 sets different batches and no positive results.

My Bogarts fit great. How much less per wheel are the Race Star's.

Official email from them to me:

John:
There are some issues with the brake calipers clearing on the outside barrel of the wheel. The tolerance on the size of the brake calibers is different on some cars. We have sold wheels to go on about 40 cars to date and received calls back from two people about having to grind down the side of the brake caliber about 50/1,000ths to clear the brake caliber. We will modify the wheel on the next production run to accomidate this.

Thanks xxxxxxx

Terrible customer service, the lady just yells and cuts you off. Do not buy. Go somewhere else. This is the "second correction" they've done. And still wrong. Don't want to try a third.

Mine fit great to Merc but I think I paid about $900 a corner for the Bogarts with everything in.

Yeah big difference in price, a pair of the polished RS rears could be for under $600 with lugs.

Hate to hear that for you but I just got a set of 17x.4.5 Race stars from PSJ and they fit fine with no clearance issue to the caliper. I can take a few pictures this weekend if you would like, not that it makes it any better but I'm pretty sure there was a ton of room....

because:
they are light
they are wide
they are also narrow
they are cheap.

that makes them perfect drag racing wheels.
