Who lives in cold weather area and drives a vert?

I'm considering a vert but live in the Northeast where top down driving season is only 6 mos. max. I was wondering if anyone else has a similar situation and if they could chime in on the "compromises" of owning a vert vs hardtop and in such an area and if they are happy with their choice in hindsight.

Thank you

I live in Buffalo I have a 45th Edition Convertible and drive it every day. I am not sure what the compromise is! It has a roof in the cold and not one when its warm.

I do as well you will get plenty of top down time when the weather is nice. I have no regrets it's one of the best purchases I have ever made.

6 months of top down driving is 6 months more than you'll get in a coupe...

We get our share of weather here, car is driven on "dry" days. Truck for sloppy days. Top has not been down yet, but I have had plenty of grinning days.

I had mine down on Sunday, it was 65 degrees. It was 21 this morning so I kept it up!

I drive mine year round. Not quite a daily driver but almost. The insulation on the tops is great so there really isn't a heat loss issue on modern convertibles. The material that my 13 is constructed out of seems very durable and has yet to show any wear.

It really makes you wish it was summer year round however and the wait during spring seems endless...

I live in Eastern PA and mine is a DD. No issues, except for chasing the neighborhood cat off my top once in a while.

Great heat in these things!!

I always laugh... Around here, in the fall when the temps start to dip into the low 60's, the top tends to stay up. However, in the spring when I see 40, it starts to come down frequently.
