I love my M6 ZL1 but.................the new 8spd auto in the Z06/Z07 is just awesome.
I think were at a point where the autos start surpasing the manuals in performance. Just my .02

However for this discussion, auto it is. We currently have a 427 which is manual and the gf can't drive it, so we'll need auto so she can drive the new one.

I have always been a gear-jammer myself. But, it would be nice to hear from some Z06 owners on their experiences with this power house beast.

The yellow Z51 is Auto, which I had first. Just got the Red Z06 and it is manual. I prefer the manual. Both are fun. The Auto is easy and simple. Press on the gas and go fast, fast. However, I feel the manual is just more fun to drive. More interaction with the car and that just makes it more fun to drive for me. I think unfortunately that the days of the manual transmission will be a thing of the past in the near future. So I am going to enjoy it while it is still available.
