Driver side and passenger side door rattle
I recently purchased a LT1 2017 Camaro and love it. However, there is a rattle that seems to only occur when at around 35+ mph and on a bumpy road. For the life of me i cant figure it out and dont specifically want to take it to a dealer. I want to avoid ripping the door apart but will if I need to. Any suggestions in things to check? The buzzing sounds similar to the lower levels of a gieger counter coming from around the door handle of the drivers side.

I guess the first thing you have to wonder is if someone replaced/upgraded the door speakers in which could lead to a myriad rattles or vibrations, depending the skill level of installation? Just my two cents. For both door panels to have a similar rattle is not a factory issue. Or the doors are loaded with drugs, and or cash cash

Would there be anyway to know without taking apart the door?

Definitely would say look at the door hinges and also look to see if someone took the panels off inside the car. If so, they could definitely be loose.

Not really, six years has passed, a lot happens in six years unless you know the person you bought it from. The driver side I can understand because it’s used 70% of the time compared to the passenger side.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions. Took apart the door, slowly testing on a bumpy road. Used a mechanics stethoscope and didnt hear anything on the door. Ended up being a waterbottle cap and plastic spoon from previous owners. *♂️

So it was a phantom sound coming from both doors? I’m glad it was something as simple as that and not a botched job of sorts.

Seems like the bottle cap was echoing throughout the whole car. The bottle cap was found underneath the seat wedged between the bracket on the bottom of seat. It would only rattle in certain seat positions i found just before discovering it. The spoon was found on the rail perfectly wedged between the sides of the rails
