I have talked with them alot over the last few weeks about the eliminator fuel pump I plan on only making 750 to 780 whp however I'm going to take advantage of e85 they told me you need a tach adapter which I went with the autometer I picked it up for like 60 bucks I've never herd what the sound like in the car if someone has one of the camaro intank they should post it but you do have to route a new line and return system as far as tuning you just need to go in and turn off the parameters to the fuel pump because the speed controller will act as a stand alone the just adjust your fuel pressure to what you need as you tune. That tach adapter is autometer 9117 and they have a great write up where they actually put it on the gen 5 camaro they hooked it up to a shift light but same concept the speed controller

I ordered one of these pumps for my G8 for $631. If you do some searching there are some pretty good deals.

One thing to remember is that the Eliminator is loud pump. It just is. The A1000, even thought the same dimensions is considerably quieter especially with the controller.
If you listen to this video closely you can hear the Eliminator (in-tank) pump kick on at 21-22 seconds into the video. That almost 'hissing' or 'rush of air' noise is the pump. We have it set to preload the C-16 fuel pressure based on TPS and kPa. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...postcount=4780 Last edited by speedster; 06-23-2012 at 10:17 AM. |

we fired my car up this weekend with the new twins and eliminator pump. The speed controller was faulty and had to be sent back. We have the new one, it is just not installed yet.
When you turn the key, yes, you can hear it... loud... maybe, but that is up the person I guess. I never noticed it driving down the road. |

This is good to hear. You would think the way many describe the pump that the only thing you can hear is the loud whine of the pump over everything else. I have my whole box of Aeromotive goodies ready to be installed, just waiting for the motor to be assembled by HKE. Finally got in the Dragon Slayer which was the only remaining piece of the puzzle. I imagine with the speed controller the pump will be a little quieter. I was losing sleep over which fuel lines and fittings to use but my builder uses the Goodridge lines and fittings and has good luck with them. I was leaning toward the Earls Ultra Flex 650 teflon lines but i was assured they were not necessary. Damn expensive too!

Im glad, i did a whole bunch of research and talking to different companies to include house of boost, aeromotive, lonnies, Dallas Performance etc and my shop SNLPerformance. There are a bunch of options out there. When i finally get this setup going i will definitely post my results here.
When it came time to order everything, I couldnt believe how hard it was to spent the money on it....no one seemed interested in my money it seems. Finally Livernois came thru thanks to a recommendation from SSE 4 2SS. Made one call and it was ordered. Got the box of goodies a week ago. Good luck!
