Why are the Green Cats so expensive? I think if you could sell them at a more reasonable price, you would move many more sets of headers. Is there any chance the Green Cats will drop in price?

Just to give you an idea of pricing, platinum is currently trading around $2000.00 an ounce. In every Kg of honeycomb which is the filter you find on average 1.5g of platinum (Pt), 0.5g of palladium (Pd) and 0.1 rhodium (Rh). Regarding the ounce the international ounce weight is 31.1g but the US ounce weight is 28g. As far as a price drop, unless the price of precious materials starts to go down, we can not.

Has the clamping system changed? Looks that way in your pic. The flanges on both of mine are bent.

No. Actually you cannot legally replace your cat in California unless it is defective. And then it can only be an OEM replacement.
Sorry...

Yes the new systems will have the Torca Tight clamping system. This is a premium ball and socket clamping system that offers leak free installation.

In case anyone is wondering what they sound like connected to the factory NPP

My setup, Kooks long tubes + their cats + stock mid pipe + Moroso Spiral Flow mufflers, very nice:
I'm thinking about going catless

Thank you for taking the time to answer the question thoroughly. It makes me a little more willing to accept the price of Green Cats. |
