They have to take the dash apart to remove that foam???

My fogging is fairly minimal, so if a major repair I'll forego it myself.

Gotta find the right balance gentlemen, V8 creates a lot of heat, with a cold AC blowing inside. I live in Miami as well and almost have the balance down. I open my windows with the AC on and it seems to stabilize the condensation.

Good news is they have identified a root cause. Excessive or misapplied foam seal holding mode door open.

Bad news - It's inside number 1 in the diagram. 19 is the mode door actuator, door is inside A/C and heater case.

So if it's a foam issue, that may be why some cars do not have the issue...like I live in Florida, and use my a/c all the time, and have no real issues with this. Maybe my foam just happened to be installed correctly?

I've had this issue and live in Florida so maybe this isn't an issue for your car

Yeah guess i'll just make a template to cover the vent when needed. Up here in NY I only had this problem a couple of times last summer when it was super hot and humid outside.

Guess you miss-read my post...

I was saying since the foam could be installed various ways, meaning possibly correctly, this would explain why some (like myself) don't have the issue, while others do...

2017 Camaro Excessive Windshield
Moisture
Thanks for the details. Definitely going take this to the dealer for update. It is a terrible issue for me here in Hot n Humid H-town. At 5 in the morning it fogs so bad that it glares the entire windshield as you pass under street lights. Certainly a safety issue.

Yes. Some are fine and some are not.

Inconsistent quality control from the IP supplier.

Mine has been doing it since I bought it and still fogs up. My 2010 SS did it too! I have learned to live with it when it happens. The humidity has a lot to do with the problem especially down here in the South. The issue is no big deal to me but I understand how other folks feel about their Camaros and want to get it fixed.
