That LSX 454 project will cost you a lot more than 10K so if those are the two options it comes down to. You really only have one option.

hmm well thanks for the info seems like the consensus is I would be over paying for both options, someone mentioned a turbo kit. I am not using it at the track a lot just a few drags. what are some good alternative options, I am not super mechanically inclined but I could try to install a sc if it would save a lot. I am trying to get a lot of hp out of my Camaro with out changing everything about it. or spending a fortune 10k would be a good price for me.

I am confident that you can install a super charger yourself as long as you can follow directions. Im sure all of them come with detailed instructions, my whipple kit did. Also any company you purchase a kit should offer good tech support and help you through and hicups. If I remember right it cost around $8,000 for all of my expenses including fuel pump and dyno tune.

I'm confused on what you mean you aren't using it at the track a lot so no to a turbo? Turbos make great daily drivers, have no load when not in the power, can improve gas mileage, etc. No reason to not look into them. Plus install is super easy. Easier than a S/C with headers install.

The only thing I don't like about the turbo installs is running oil feed and return lines, other than that they are very straight forward for the average backyard mechanic. Self contained oiling systems are going to be easier to maintain over time, not to say that a well setup oil feed system is unreliable.

For 10K and big HP numbers. Hard to beat twin turbos

Big horsepower for 10k doesn't exist. I have a saying with this kind of stuff:

Fast, Reliable, Cheap. You can pick two at any time, but never three.

No matter what system you use, you are limited by the motor underneath it. There isn't a blower or turbo kit that won't do 650whp with supporting mods, the power adder isn't the limiting factor.

I heard that blower eats through coolant and brake lines like every week though, not to mention those tails don't last through combustion

Exactly.

If you want your factory warranty, reliability and driveability, call Frank @ GSL.

If you want to listen to a bunch of internet-technicians, who won't pay for your car when it breaks, that's also an option.

Also the HPE550 is now a head/cam setup, our entry-level supercharger setup is our HPE600. They have a warranty, turn your car into a serial-numbered Hennessey vehicle, and come with some other neat accessories.

A lot of people think "Why pay for a bunch of stickers", while forgetting those Yenko cars with a bunch of stickers that could have been replicated cheaper tend to go for quite a pretty penny nowadays. They were 'just camaros with horsepower, upholstery and stickers' too at one point. Food for thought.

Just for clarification purposes. Any other single modification made to the vehicle outside of the chosen Hennessey package "could" void all or part of the GM/Hennessey warranty.

Would that be correct Mike?
