Nice Stratman! Way to think outside of the box. I think that is the best place to locate the LPE emblem that I have seen yet.

Mine are still in my toolbox..

Well you folks have been a chatty bunch today Happy Easter!

Garth looks like your having a blast and showin off that sweet ride already. Happy Birthday! I would like to see a run between you and MTCWBY?

2010 and RS those are some very respectable times. Looks like a lotta fun. I am gonna try mine out at a track very soon and hope I don't destroy the 1000 hp half shafts.

Stratman that really looks good. I thought about putting one of those on my dash somewhere.

Thanks 570, it took a while to figure out where to put it.
I'm waiting for LPE to get their body kit together and have the Lingenfelter painted onto the sideskirts like their show car.

You could stick one on your toolbox if you are not going to use them?

Question for everyone.. should I install the CAMARO letters that are on the front fenders? I left them stuck on the original fenders. I will need to purchase new ones as the 2 sided tape will be junk if I remove them.

I am ok with the GM chicklet not being present..

I havn't decided what I want to do with my LPE emblems yet.

I am painting Lingenfelter onto the sides of the hood scoop.
My License plate says LGNFLTR as well, so I think I am covered on the car for LPE advertisements. I think usint the chrome LPE emblems on the front fenders will be too much.

Any advise?
I also bought the Hoschkis track pack so i think that will help keep the wheels (305's or 315's) on the ground.
Also thinking about 3:73's.

Any advise would be appreciated
BWS, welcome to the Brotherhood my Illinoian brother!
In my opinion swapping the converter would be a waste of cash.
The big question would be what your intent is to get out of the car. If you are planning on driving the car on the street and just using it for recreational driving, I most definitely would not screw with the converter. The quickest way to destroy drive ability would be screwing with the converter.
I sent my trans to RPM to have the clutches upgraded, I feel for the money this is a worth while investment in the long run. Might as well do it while the trans is laying at your feet anyway.
My present rear gear is a bit of an anomaly. At the time of my build the 3.73 was in the discussion phase. Lingy put a a 3.45 gear in it, as at the time it was the only option. I am getting a 3.73 put together and will probably swap it this summer.
Tire spin is a relative problem. But yet one that can be fixed easily. As with all car issues, to fix em just throw money at em!
Don't expect to eliminate burning the tires on the street with street tires, it's just gunna happen. Leave the computers on if it's a concern. You can achieve max acceleration with minimal slippage. If at the track (drag strip) use rubber designed for this. You can help with putting the rubber to the pavement with different suspension stuff, but at this hp level it is really just a tire issue. It's kinda like a see saw, tires don't slip, enough traction for the hp, increase hp, tires slip, increase traction, tires don't slip. I've got a set of MT drag radials for the strip and I don't think they will have any problem keeping the car stuck to the strip.
Back in 87 I had an 86 Z28. It was carbureted, and DID not have a limited slip (posi) diff. I put nitrous on the stock motor and it would run 12.40 at the track all day. You just have to play it right.
Some of the other Brothers here have played with different street tire combinations and they can give first hand experience on what each has liked and disliked. You might want to consider lighter wheels and a smaller wheel size. I feel that one of the worst things are the over sized wheels. It affects drive ability buy they are popular at the moment. John at Complete Custom Wheel is top notch in my book and has great products!
Good luck Brother, you will not be disappointed with your Lingenfelter commitment. Their workmanship is un-beatable and the experience and knowledge that comes with is without compare!
(tell Kevin Windy says Hi!)

Gotta hand it to LPE.. they really do make works of art.

What are you having done at the body shop?

I am looking forward to the car coming home so I can work on it..
It will be gone 6 weeks by the time I get it back.
Paint shop is doing Pearl White rally stripes over the rear NLP spoiler and onto the front upper bumper. Adding front GM splitter (on backorder) and painting it IOM along with the rear spoiler. Rallys will have IOM "Lingenfelter" in the stripes. ..... hard to part with car again, but exciting at the same time. After paint is lots of quality clearbra - doing entire hood too, all with wrapped edges.

I'd put the Camaro badges back on, and leave the Lingenfelter ones off as you can read Lingenfelter from all sides of the car already (if you have a front liscence plate).

I'm waiting for the LPE side skirts, and am going to have Lingenfelter painted on them, like their silver show car.

So I thought I'd stick one of the extra chrome emblems on my forehead when we go to car shows this summer. My wife thinks that's a stupid idea??

My kids named our Chinese fighting fish Lingenfelter. So I might stick one on his fish tank.

I don't have any Camaro badges on my car at all. I thought about putting the Lingenfelter badges on the sides but now that it is on the hood, I will probably do one on the trunk like you did - that looks pretty good. I do have a LPE license plate in the back too.

Your kids named your fish Lingenfelter - thats pretty good

Lookin good Stratman. I hope the fish is fast!

I got my stripes peeled off yesterday, and the front bumper fascia removed. I should get everything to the painter this weekend. The car looks naked. I'm excted to see it finished with no more license plate holder.

On the LEFT side rear.

Laser Etched Maglite

Look what my sons had made for BD! They found a local guy who toys around doing custom stuff like this. They supplied him with several photos. Laser removes portions of the paint to reveal the pictures. He pretty much only does custom stuff for customers - no mass producing. Sorry for so many pic - but they put so much stuff on this! Cool!
