Mold in my Break fluid?
I backed into my driveway and lifted my hood to clean engine bay when I took off the cap of brake fluid. I looked and saw black cloudy possibly mold in the fluid?? Is that normal? And what causes it. I just need to know if I need to do anything about it or leave it be thanx.

I know on aluminum bodied master cylinders on my motorcycles (Brembo), a black cloud of aluminum suspension builds up in the fluid. I'm wondering if that is what you're seeing. I do not believe that brake fluid will sustain mold.

Are you sure its your Brake fluid and not Clutch fluid resevior (similar to brake fluid) I assume you have a Manual trans? ...If so that is likely clutch wear particles due to the hydrolic system, its a common problem with the C5 and C6 you can watch youtube vids on how to flush properly, if it is clutch fluid then you will want to flush on a regular basis to avoid your clutch pedal from sticking
