No offense....but it looks very..."Mustang" with the three divisions....

I still maintain that you all need to wait to see them in person...I haven't heard of many (if any) who've actually seen them...say they don't like'em.

Although they still aren't as good looking as the '10-'13 tail lights IMO, these I could live with a little better. I also agree that the reverse lights would need to be in there.

Maybe they should've done like the RS on the 1st Gen. Non-RS got the reverse lights in the tail light. RS got them on the rear valance.

So you prefer mid nineties Pontiac Grand-Am style?

It's interesting when you compare the rear and its evolution... from pure aggressive musclecar approach to a more modern/sports car aesthetics.

Lets not forget that hole to place the license plate as well..

The other rear fascia blends so much better..

What I like more about the ones in the pic that the OP posted is not as much the mid-80's Pontiac look but more how they don't wrap around to the side. They also allow for the recessed look in the bumper. The ones on the '14 make it basically flush with the bumper.

The more I look at the OP's pic the more is see how much they changed the rear on the '14. It just doesn't look good IMO.

I will say that all this bitching and would, coulda, shoulda is really irrelevant now. GM did what they did and they more than likely aren't going to change it until the 6th Gen comes out. Hopefully they'll learn from this one though.

That is what I like about the car in the pic, I also like where the plate mounts better too.

And agreed, it is all irrelevant at this point..

I like both.. and personally I am getting tired of these ignorant "looks like a prelude" threads.

they do not look like a flucking honda rust bucket ricer... They are GM heritage from the 1970s and if you don't get that then you need to go to the prelude forums and stay there.

GM is trying to create a heritage retro style with a modern flare, doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that, and if you don't like it, well to each their own, but stop flaunting your ignorance to the heritage of these cars.

Then don't read these forums

Look, heritage and the 70's don't go together

I've said it once, I'll say it 1000 more times

The 70's are like New Jersey, only good thing ever came out of them is the beginning of Jon Bon Jovi's career
