Little V6 camaro catces v8 mustang on the racetrack
I originally posted this on the general discussions part of the forum and was moved, so maybe i did something wrong, and it should be here, so, if so, then please delete it.This is my 2011 1LT RS/RS at a track day at Fontana(calif speedway)At around the 4 min. mark i see the enemy (mustang)in my sights and start my attack. Those of you that dont know since these are just track days, and were out for fun, passing is done by a "point bye" system which means if someone is coming into your mirror, there faster then you and you have to point them by.This is a 10 min. video so enjoy.
I was thinking you might also enjoy this, this is 4 min.of my Silverstate race in Nevada I avereged 125.3064 mph 12th place :( for the 90 mile course. This part of the race im running 140 mph except in the narrows im running 120 mph posted 60 it might not look like im going that fast but believe me im on fire through there Last edited by cornerspeed92; 02-09-2013 at 12:57 PM. |

Well this was my 2nd track day in this car,and it really felt quite good!!!!!!! as when i did this, i had just ordered my 1LE, i drove the wheels off this thing, and by the end of the day i had a little brake fade, but considering this isn't a track car she performed awesome, and as well had never changed the brake/clutch fluid,as i didn't know what i do now.I have already installed the separate clutch res.on my 1LE, when i say i drove the wheels off,i probably have 5000 laps around this track,i used to race my superbike here, and know the track...well pretty damn good.It was a blast and every camaro owner should have to do this

Nice videos! Do you just have the exterior camera, or do you also have an in cabin cam? It would cool to watch from inside too.

Yes i have interior too,i thought it might be kinda self absorbed to post it though,i will see if i can edit a few min.and post it.I have 4 different views from that track day, that one, suction cup to the window of me,mounted to the harness bar,and suction cupped on the front fender.

Great vids, bro, and there's nothing more exciting than the circuit. Haven't done any in the USA yet, but Bahrain International Circuit (F1) and Yas Marina Abu Dhabi (F1) are outstanding for track days.
