Last year the mileage was high on my 5th gen (a little over 900 miles). I anticipate that the 5th gen will see about 650 miles ty, while the others will see about 300 miles each. My rough commute to work and the barbaric nature of ny motorists won't allow me to drive my lsx children on a regular basis.

Just switched to Grundy collector car insurance committing to no more than 5,000 miles per year. I have a Tahoe 4WD (baby Escallade, Ha!) and know these are great vehicles and fun to drive in their own right. So, my Camaro never goes out in anything but top down weather. Another side of this is, the Camaro demands constant detailing, so I hate to get it dirty.

It would be nice to be able to buy a 35k or more dollar car and be able to let it sit in the garage but most people can`t afford to do that they buy it with the intention of driving it. I have 2002 SS which I havn`t driven much execpt to shows and hanging out with other camaro friends I`v enjoyed that car but the enjoyment is different if you are driving your camaro daily. I drive mine about 10k a year in any weather. hope to have her paid off with less than 60k on it then I`ll park it and buy a truck thats easier to get in and out of. sorry if I got a littlebut, I wish I could drive mine as a beater with a Zl1 setting pretty in my garage.

I bought it April 15th last year, put 4520 miles on it in 12 months. I like to keep it clean and in the garage on bad weather days, not to mention all of the road construction around here right now is like driving on gravel roads.

I built a ZL1 like that to run the 1/4 and keep it just street friendly enough to cruise around but it takes a delicate touch (feathering the gas in town). My motorcycle is my DD. The OP asked if Camaro's scare some owners and yup mine can rattle me. |

So far, I'm averaging 1,600 miles per year (133 miles per month).

I took delivery of mine last year on August 1st. Since then I've put 12,600 mile on it (as of today). Then again, that's including several trips to Dallas, lots of trips to Tulsa, and a recent (as in earlier this month) trip to Denver. Take away those trips and I'm doing about 1,000/mth.

Was he retired? How many other cars did he have? Any idea how far his commute was? That's just from my own life, where I'd never lived more than a handful of miles from the place that employed me, owned as many as 5 cars, and have no more commute (not even to where this computer is set up). I doubt I drive my car more than 5000 miles/year any more, though that may start to increase after next week when my wife retires from her job. Norm

5k a year. Weather doesnt permit more. I bought it to keep it so no salt baths. The roads are covered in debris when it rains sand blasting the sides and i dont like to drive 45mph so it doesnt hydroplane. You need a 4x4 to go anywhere during the winter around here. The snow would be over the hood.
