well like I said in a different post if it has the ls7 in it by 2008/9 the cost for building the engine should go down. they are always refining production methods. and well I wouldn't doubt in the future the ls7 won't be made by hand. but the newer top engine will be. which will run the cost way down for them to build it. we will see.

still though, theres going to be alot more different components on a 7.0 camaro than there is on a 6.0l camaro. appearence might be a bit differerent(wheels maybe hood badging) and the motor of course and suspension will have to be beefed up. all of this adds up. its not cheap im telling you there is no way they will make a 427 camaro for less than 40.if thats the case i wouldnt be surprised if vette sales go down and vette buyers buy this new , faster than a vette, camaro. and what tag ur it was saying, for cheaper than a vette. its rediculous.

Please, Blac. You can't "burst my bubble". If you're right and we see GM doing what you say they will do, you can say "I told you so". I'll sit back, take it, and admit I was wrong. If they do make it, they will go all out. It will probably be a special order only model and they will make very limited production amount. They will be high priced and spoken for in no time. I just don't see a production camaro breaking that 40K mark. Notice that I said "production Camaro".

I say we all "take a breather" on the subject.

GM will undoubtedly price the Camaro to compete with the Mustang, as well as the Challenger.

I think there's way too many variables yet to get a decent idea of pricing, so lets keep it civil, and be happy the Camaro is returning.

Dude, you can by the LS7 through Summit for 12k and most dealers will match that price. Everything is speculation at this point so chill out angry man ...

you all so have to consider even though it might take away vette sales the only reason some people are buying the vette is b/c it's the only true sports car gm is selling right now. so no matter what the camaro comes out the sales will go down on the vette. but for the most part the people that are buying the vette b/c it's a vette won't buy a camaro that's priced cheaper then it that has the z06 motor. on top of the fact the that a camaro with that motor will probably weight quite a bit more then a corvette. so with that saying a 505 hp camaro might just match the performance if not barely beat the base vette. just due to weight and handling.

ok sorry i was off 3,000 dollars. its still gonna be over 40 g's

Thats one reason I plan on waiting, as difficult as that may be. :( I refuse to pay a dealer markup!

I'll wait 'til the hype dies down a little. It'll also give me time to save more $$$ as well as allow me to see if a higher performing model arrives.

Well I dont care how much it is! I already started saving and working overtime...I want the SS, I may be a single mom but I deserve this car I may go broke trying but what the hell Ill look good doing it.
