Thanks guys. He was our first Ridgeback, but definitely won't be our last. I'm sure we'll bring another one home in the not too distant future.

I know how you feel, my dog had ACL surgery in January which cost about $2000 with meds and everything included. Then, this past week she tore it again She is having surgery on Tuesday. She is getting a metal plate and rod placed into her knee and it is gonna cost about $5,000 total

$5000??? Whew!!! My Rottie had the rod and plate put in her ACL! Wasnt even but around $1500!!! But after she chewed a few staples out and licked on it a few times, it got infected and had to be put in some high dollar antibiotics!

Yeah, unfortunately of course it may end up being less then that, but with the surgery, meds, and the water rehab treatments it should be around $5000. I guess because she tore her acl from first surgery in matter of a few months, they want to make sure the next surgery she has is her last one.

Yeah, for 6 months, walks on a leash, no jumping, strict diet, she had to be a lazy dog, is pretty much what we had to do! She's all good to go now!!!

Beautiful pup ADAM. Im glad to hear you were able to save her just in time. I made a promise that if I were to become rich I would save every dog I could. I never knew true love untill I got my first pup. Now I have 2. Theyre my life and Ill do anything in the world for them.

That is one of the things I want to be able to do when I'm older! Dogs are the best, my 5 year old labradoodle is like my child
