How are your Recaros holding up?
Searching potential purchases and noticed on some used 1LE's the drivers outside seat and back bolsters look pretty crushed already on some low mileage vehicles.
Cars with <5,000 miles and the seats look like +50,000. How do yours look? |

Mine look good, but I'm fairly slim at 5-10 175 lbs.

Any seat will look like that if you don't practice proper ingress and egress. If you're always hitting the bolsters with your butt and rubbing on them you'll wear them out.

+1. Cannonballing into the seat will trash them in a hurry. Attentive ingress/egress will let the seat last longer than the life of the car.

I've learned to be an acrobat in order to avoid crushing my bolsters in or out. It's good for your core muscles if you can master the skill!

Over 15k miles and the seats are more comfortable now. My legs used to fall asleep after 4 hours but now they've settled in. Great on the track but a little tough for long trips. No visible wear at this point.

I am 5'11 210 and move like a ballerina now. My seats also look great. Just watch dragging against them when you get in and out. Especially if you have jeans on, the rivets LOVE to scratch steering wheels and seat bolsters. |

You'd be amazed at the amount of food I can put away.... just makes larger poops. I also have a pretty physical job and no one in my family is overweight. It sure helps on a go-kart.

A Physical job does help tremendously. I worked Concrete form work for better than ten years. Not only do you stay lean but you keep and build some muscle as well. |
